Artex Building Newhaven - Lewes Bonfire Night Celebrations

Had our very first game of Cat and Mouse with Mr Secca with this place! Our first two visits were reconnaissance missions only, but by our third visit our patience paid off as we had by then sussed out that Mr Secca was a man of habits. We by now, Knew what time he would arrive, How long he would spend in the building, What time he would leave and what time he would be back thus giving us a time frame for our explore. As soon as our friend disappeared around the corner in his official, trusty looking van, We were in this Abandoned, Redundant Artex Ltd Building in Newhaven like a shot and have to say it was probably the easiest place to get into and explore so far.
No high fences or boardings, No locked doors or shutters within, And best of all is, That it was fresh as in no pointless vandalism or graffiti. My only gripe is that Elf n Safety deemed it necessary to blow torch away the lower 12ft of steps and ladders to the fantastic looking machinery above! Gets worse. My Camera light went down due to flat batteries and I forgot to pack any replacements also I forgot my torch! I was left stumbling and shooting around in places in the dark.
History of the Artex Ltd Building in Newhaven, Haven’t got a clue really but were manufacturers of boards, coving, paints and wall coatings etc. I seem to think it closed down in 2008 and very expensive items of machinery were removed by removing a roof and lifting out by crane and transported to a sister site.
