These are the amazing November the 5th Bonfire Night celebrations in Lewes Sussex for 2012. They commemorate the 407th anniversary of the discovery of the gunpowder plot and the 324th anniversary of the landing of William, Prince of Orange.

Every year many “Bonfire Societies” marching bands and thousands of people crowd Lewes town to see the fantastic yearly festivities. The whole town is closed to normal traffic from about 5pm to 1am so the revellers have the streets to themselves.
