Proms In The Paddock : CSBS - Lewes Bonfire Night Celebrations

This unique and hugely popular fundraising event is organised by the Commercial Square Bonfire Society and is held each year in Lewes, the County town of Sussex. The event features a raft of popular tunes from the Lewes Glynde and Beddingham Brass Band on a purpose built stage at the north end of the Paddock playing fields in Paddock Lane, Lewes BN7 1TW
The grand finale sees a fantastic firework display by CSBS to Tchaikovsky’s famous 1812 overture. They will be joined this year by the Sounds of Swing Big Band, a swing band from Herstmonceux playing classic tunes from the 40’s. Also this year they are lucky enough to be joined by soprano Lynn Deacon who will be singing some wonderful classic numbers and rounding the night off with Land of Hope and Glory.
The event this year falls on Saturday 1st August with gates opening at 5pm. Tickets for the Proms will be available from a number of outlets in Lewes and also from this Proms in the Paddock Website.
