Southover Bonfire Society - Lewes Bonfire Night Celebrations
April 22, 2012 at 10:32 pm by v
Southover Bonfire Society is holding its 4th annual Feast of St Pancras May Fayre, and it will take place on 12th May 2012, in the historic grounds of Lewes Priory, Cockshut Road, Lewes BN7 3PR. 11am Start. Families can enjoy a fun-packed day: handling a beautiful bird of prey, trying their hands at archery, setting off a Tudor canon, putting loved ones in the stocks and arming themselves with wet sponges, rolling a swede and enjoying a feast of culinary delights from venison and boar to wild garlic soup and lots more.
As well as raising funds for the annual Southover bonfire night society celebrations, the Fayre also encourages people to enjoy and care for the Priory’s remains, one of Lewes major historical sites.
