Mortuary St Peter’s Hospital - Lewes Bonfire Night Celebrations
January 26, 2015 at 10:13 pm by v
Took two attempts to find St Peter’s Hospital Mortuary / Morgue / Rainbow`s End or the Rose Cottage but find it we did, within seconds of us getting in and whilst I`m getting my camera out etc I heard my Wife scream out, I turned round and a bearded figure had poked his head in through the gap and waved at us and said “Helloooooooooo” He came in followed by his pretty female partner and turns out that they were just mooching like us but do not belong to any forums. Visited with my Grandson and my freaked out Wife.
The following is nicked from Here The mortuary, built in the 1940’s, is a small, rectangular building on the outskirts of the main Hospital site and closed in April 2009 when the mortuary relocated to the main hospital building. Inside, there’s a small chapel and viewing room with the rest of the building comprising of body fridges and the main autopsy room.
